Master Ren teaches the 19 movement form which distills movements from all 3 frames of the Chen Family Taijiquan canon of training, The Da Lao Jia system (Big Old Frame), Xin Jia system (New Frame) & Xiao Jia system (Small Frame). 19-Form was created by Grandmaster Chen, Xiaowang as an introduction for beginners learning Chen Taijiquan. You can watch Master Ren demonstrate the movements from multiple angles, with narration on directional placement and movement.

Master Ren breaks down the 38-form into 2 videos. Created by Grandmaster Chen, Xiaowang, the 38 is the second form in the curriculum. 38 is comprised from the Yi Lu form of both the Lao Jia and Xin Jia systems. A rich expression of both forms with a more simplified sequence. The 38-Form is considered the next step in instilling the more deeper aspects of the Chen Family training. Here the form is divided into 2 tapes, covering multiple angles, full narration and a concise breakdown of the form.

Lao Jia Yi Lu / Old Frame First Form

Here Master Ren teaches the traditional training form of the Chen Family. Known by most as the Long Form, it is the form that is credited to being created by Chen, Changxin 14th. Generation Master and teacher of Yang, Luchan who went on to create Yang Style Taijiquan. Comprised of 75 postures, it incorporates all the basic principles and techniques of the Taijiquan system including silk-reeling & Fajin (explosive force) movements characteristic of Chen style.

Lao Jia Er Lu (Pao Chui) / Old Frame Second Form (Cannon Fist)

Pao Chui or Cannon Fist (pounding) is the advanced form of the Chen family system. This form consists of 43 postures. The form builds off of Yi Lu and offers a more martial approach, involving more footwork, sudden direction changes, dodging tactics, double low sweeps, etc. Physiologically, it helps build the Yi(intent) to respond to possible multiple opponent scenarios. It also trains the breath due to its high speed execution. Postures' are shown from multiple angles, full narration and Chinese & English posture names.

Applications of Lao Jia Yi Lu / Old Frame First Form

Here Master Ren teaches a sampling of applications based off the Lao Jia Yi Lu or Long Form. The applications shown are more generalized to provide the beginner the foundation to start developing the proper principles and energy direction within the form. Every posture in Chen style has the potential to be a fist, elbow, body, foot & knee strike as well as throws, trips, sweeps, joint locks & takedowns. What's shown on this video is just the more apparent applications and that they are many possibilities for every move in Chen Taijiquan.

Xin Jia Yi Lu / New Frame First Form

Master Ren teaches the New Frame First form, which was created by 17th Generation Master and Grandfather to Grandmaster Chen, Xiaowang the legendary Chen, Fake. Comprised of 83 postures it offers an intensive study on Chen style body dynamics. Each posture is imbued with more apparent dan-tian movements, silk-reeling, increased movements per posture and a richer expression of Fa-jin than what is found in Lao Jia Yi Lu. Each posture is shown from multiple angles.
